When opening Import utility, please ensure you are logging on to the Database you are wanting to post to. Once you have done this, Click on your company name in the ribbon, this will bring up the the modules we can post to.
Please follow the steps below:
Click Nominal Ledger
From this screen, you then need to just have 'Categories' ticked, in the records column.
If you do not have the template, you can generate this by clicking options > Import File Templates > Click 'Categories'.
This will then generate the report in the following location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Access Applications\Dimensions\Importer\2.51h (Please bare in mind your Version will be different that my path here)
Now you have the template, please press the green tick. This will ask if a back is taken, you you have then press yes. Then yes to the routine taking a while.
The next message is asking for you to validate it. If you press yes, it will not post to Dimensions, it will just check to see if it will go through. If you click no, it will go through.
Then select the file after clicking yes to the file type you are importing, then chose the file template you have populated.
