This error message usually occurs because the Email SSL (Secure Connections) has been turned Off. To check and possibly turn it on:
On the System tab, click System Control Options, System Format
Click the blue arrow, System E-mail Defaults icon.
Click the computer, SMTP Servers icon.
Clear the SSL check box.
Click Save.
