Create a Supplier Record

You can add a new supplier into Access Dimensions by completing the below process:

  1. Select Creditors, Suppliers (ribbon menu) or Purchase Ledger, Records, Suppliers (classic/module menu)

  2. Click Insert

  3. Populate the record accordingly, entering relevant information into each field

  4. You can use either the mouse or the Tab key on your keyboard to move between fields.

  5. VAT information (such as VAT code and registration number), if needed, can be entered via the VAT button.

  6. Information regarding the suppliers' bank account can be entered using the Bank tab on the right side of the record (this is needed should you wish to pay the supplier via BACS remittance).

  7. The Document tab on the right side of the record allows you to set document destinations for supplier documents (if needed).

  8. Tabs such as Sort Key, Notes, Contact, Comms and Custom should be populated according to your internal company processes (if you are unsure whether you need to populate these, please contact your internal accounting team)

  9. Supplier terms (if needed) can be set via the Terms button

  10. Once you have entered all relevant information, select Save to create the supplier record.
