For each Dimensions Cloud record list and enquiry, you can chose several different options to best search on any date columns.
You can choose to perform your search either in the Advanced Filter panel or directly on a date related column. For more information on how to add a column to the displayed columns, please refer to our Configure columns article.
All of the filter options for any date related column default to the "equals" option, but you can change this by clicking on the drop-down arrow and selecting the best option for you.
The table below shows you all of the date options in the order that you see in the drop-down list.

This calendar year | Selects all records/transactions that fall within the current calendar year. |

Last calendar year | Selects all records/transactions from last calendar year. |
Not last calendar year | Selects all records/transactions that don't fall within the last calendar year. |
Next calendar year | Selects all records/transactions that fall into the next calendar year. |
Not next calendar year | Selects all records/transactions that don't fall into the next calendar year. |
Last X years | Selects all prior records/transactions that fall within your specified number of months. Start date is from today's date and a year is calculated from today's' calendar date to the specified last year's calendar date. Example: If today's date is 15/03/2025 and you specify 1 year, the search will be carried out from 15/03/2025 - 15/03/2024. |
Next X years | Selects all future records/transactions that fall within your specified number of months. Start date is from today's date and a year is calculated from today's' calendar date to the specified next year's calendar date. Example: If today's date is 15/03/2025 and you specify 1 year, the search will be carried out from 15/03/2025 - 15/03/2026. |
This calendar month in any year | Selects all records/transactions that fall within the current month regardless of year. |
This calendar month | Selects all records/transactions for the current month. |
Not this calendar month | Selects all records/transactions apart from current calendar month. |
Last calendar month | Selects all records/transactions for last calendar month. |
Not last calendar month | Selects all records/transactions apart from last calendar month. |

Last X months | Selects all prior records/transactions that fall within your specified number of months. Start date is from today's date and a month is calculated from today's' calendar date to the specified last month's calendar date. Example: If today's date is 15/03/2025 and you specify 1 month , the search will be carried out from 15/03/2025 - 15/02/2025. |
Next X months | Selects all future records/transactions that fall within your specified number of months. Start date is from today's date and a month is calculated from today's' calendar date to the specified next month's calendar date. Example: If today's date is 15/03/2025 and you specify 1 month, the search will be carried out from 15/03/2025 - 15/04/2025. |
Today in any year | Selects all records/transactions that match today's date, regardless of the year. |
Today | Selects all records/transactions for today's date. |
Not today | Selects all records/transactions apart from today's date. |
Yesterday | Selects all records/transactions that fall within yesterday's date. |
Not yesterday | Selects all records/transactions apart from yesterday's date. |

Day X | Selects all records/transactions for your specified day of the month, example: the 15th of any month. |
Month X | Selects all records/transactions for your specified month, example: all dates in January. |
Year X | Selects all records/transactions for your specified year, example: all dates in 2024. |
Not day X | Excludes all records/transactions for dates that fall within your specified day. |
Not month X | Excludes all records/transactions for dates that fall within your specified month. |
Not year X | Excludes all records/transactions for dates that fall within your specified year. |
Is blank | Selects all records/transactions where the date field is not populated. |
Is not blank | Selects all records/transactions where the date field is populated. |
Does not equal | Excludes all records/transactions that match your specified date. |
Equals | Selects all records/transactions that match your specified date. |
