You can synchronise a Dimensions user to Access Evo to enable access to Access Digital Tax. You'll need system administrator (SA) permissions in Dimensions to complete these steps.
Synchronise a Dimensions user to Access Evo
Follow these steps to synchronise a user and link their Access Evo email address.
Log in to Dimensions as a system administrator (SA).
On the System tab, click User Records.
Select the required user.
In the ribbon, click Options, then click the notepad, Edit icon.
Select either the aCloud User or Access Evo User (seen on later versions) checkbox.
Click the Floppy Disc, OK icon to save the change. A dialog appears.
Click Yes. Close the Options window.
With the required user still selected, in the User Records, click E-mail.
In the E-mail field, type your Access Evo email address.
Click the Floppy Disc, OK icon to save the change.
Log in to Dimensions as the user.
On the System tab, click Data Utilities, then click Synchronise aCloud Apps. A dialog appears.
Click Yes.
Sign in to Access Evo using Access Evo credentials when the prompt appears on the screen or when it opens in the web browser.
The Consent Required for Access Dimensions screen appears. Scroll down and click Accept.
Dimensions is now synchronised with Access Evo. The user can now log in to Access Evo.
If you experience issues synchronising, check that your aCloud files are set up correctly.
Check the aCloud file configuration in Dimensions
If synchronisation is still failing, check the following configuration files.
Open the Dimensions installation folder. The default path is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Access Applications\Dimensions\Accounts\2.51g.
Open the External folder.
Open the aCloud.config file with Notepad.
Check the ServiceURL tag is as follows: https://ws.accessacloud.com
Open the Extras folder.
Open the aCloud Identity folder.
Open the Access.Cloud.Identity.Winforms.Launcher.config file with Notepad.
Check the Authority tag is as follows: add key ="Authority" value ="https://identity.accessacloud.com"
In the Extras folder, open the ACP folder.
Open the Access.Cloud.Client.Processor.exe file with Notepad and check add key ="Authority" value ="https://identity.accessacloud.com" and endpoint address =" https://ws.accessacloud.com/Services.svc"
Synchronise again by following steps 11 to 15 in the first section above.
