Global Options
This enables you to set permissions or restrictions for all Users given this Security Profile.
Batch Mode Only
Prevents live Transaction posting.
Use User Toolbar
If this is not selected, the User Toolbar button is greyed out for all Users attached to this Profile.
Do Not Edit Toolbar
You can prevent Users from editing the User Toolbar by selecting this option.
Do Not Print Reports
Prevents Users from printing any reports.
No Reports to File
Prevents Users from printing any reports to file. The File option on print Output windows will be greyed out. (See also: Email reports).
Special Reports
This menu option can be linked to specially-written Omnis reports. Selection of this option enables Users with this profile to access this menu.
View own Prospects
Restricts Users to viewing their own Prospects only in the CRM module.
Post to restricted periods
Only available when Enable Working Periods has been enabled in System Options. This option allows users to post to restricted periods, so that you can control which users have permission to post to restricted periods.The defaults is unchecked. When unchecked, then your user will only be able to post to the current Working Period (and any future periods as allowed by the profile), e.g. future period posting privileges will be applied to the current working period rather than the current open period. If checked, then your user will be able to post to the current Open Period (and any future periods as allowed by the profile), as per usual.
Language Options
Allows the User to access Description/Language on the Info menu. This is not enabled by default.
DDE
Enables or disables the use of Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) links. DDE is a method of allowing data to be shared between different computer programs.
Disable Email output
Disables the facility of sending reports and Documents by Email.
Do not amend Stock Analysis
Prevents Users from changing the Stock Analysis.
Restrict Sort Key use
Applies the restrictions set for the use of Sort Keys in Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger and Stock Control. The restrictions are defined in System Options for the respective modules.
Credit Control Penny Write-Off Limit
If permitted, this option allows you to write off the bad debts worth the value indicated in the field. The permission to write off the bad debts can be set in Credit Control Security Level options.
View Own Customers in Chase Debtors
If set, Users with this profile will only see Customer records assigned to them as a Credit Controller when they use the Chase Debtors window in the Credit Control module.
SOP Order Status
Level
Levels are linked to the Authorise Orders function in SOP. This is used to control what SOP Order Status is allowed, it can be either zero (Access to all levels) or it is set to the level of the default status.
Default
Default displays the Order Status List window. You can assign any of the Status that have been set up, in place of the default - Hold.
Only deliver allocated stock
If this option is selected Users with this Profile will only be able to process deliveries for Sales Orders for which Stock has been allocated. If not selected the Stock Allocation function will be switched off and Users with this Profile will be able to process deliveries of Sales Orders regardless of any stock allocations. It is recommended that all Users have the same setting and that this option is used as a master control to enable you to turn the whole process on or off, to ensure that it works best for you.
POP Order Status:
Level
Levels are linked to the Authorise Orders function in POP. This is used to control what POP Order Status is allowed, it can be either zero (Access to all levels) or it is set to the level of the default status.
Default
Default displays the Order Status List window. You can assign any of the Status that have been set up, in place of the default - Hold.
Default Insert Level:
This is the Record Level that will be applied when Inserting a New Record. The default is User Level i.e. the level will match the Users Enter/Amend level.
Logon Time Range
Enables you to specify the hours within which a User can log on to the Accounts. If a User tries to logon outside the range specified, the system displays a message informing them that they cannot logon. You must use 24-hour clock format.

These fields enable you to enforce regular password changes.
Default Sub Ledgers:
Click on the search buttons to display the Global Options - Sub Ledgers window, from where you can select defaults for the Sales, Purchase and Nominal Ledgers; additionally, you can select and set the default Sub Ledger. Once you have selected the desired options for this Profile, close the Global Options window and click on OK on the Security Profiles window to save your settings.
