Revalue Assemblies
This function is found on the Assemblies menu. It enables you to revalue assembly stock items when component prices have changed.
Before you use this function, you should ensure that you have a current backup copy of your data and that there is nobody using the Stock Control, Sales Order Processing and Purchase Order Processing modules.
The Revalue Assemblies window enables you to select the assembly records by Stock Code and Sort Key.
If you select to search by Assembly Records, you can enter a range of Assembly stock codes in the From and To fields.
The revaluation will then locate each assembly record and revalue the record according to changes in the prices of the component stock items.
If you select to search by Component Records, you can enter a range of Component stock codes in the From and To fields.
The revaluation will then locate each component record and revalue the parent assembly (the assembly record immediately above the component).
Additionally, all the lower levels Bill of Materials containing the component stock item will be revalued.
You can select to revalue just the Cost Price, just the Sell Price or to revalue both.
Click the OK button to start the process.
You will be asked to confirm that you want to run the revaluation process and reminded that you should have a current backup copy of your data.
No will return you to the Revalue Assemblies window; Yes will carry out the revaluation process.
