Post Batch

Post Batch

Post Batch displays the Batch Selection window overlaying the Post Batch to Stock Record window.

You can:

Create a selective list of Movement Transactions for posting, by entering your specific criteria. Please note that the default search on Year is for 'All Years'. When ready, click on Display.

Any combination of selections can be entered to ensure specific Movements are displayed.

Entry of the User Id. will display Movements entered by an individual User on a multi-user system. As a safeguard against multiple posting of the same Batched Movements, if you do not enter a User Id., all other Users will be denied access to this Post Batch function until you have finished processing.

The System supports multiple Users, so if you are posting without entering a User Id., all other Users will be denied access to this Post Batch function until you have finished processing.

The System supports multiple Users posting their own Batches at the same time as each other.

or:

if you want to post all Transactions without any selection you can click on Post All Batched Transactions function.

This will after a warning message, select all the Batched Transactions that are available for posting and display them in the Post Batch list window, flagged as YES (to be processed). Generally this function is designed to be used for bulk processing (possibly overnight), only when the Orders have been fully checked.

You do not need to use the Display function.

Caution! Use with care!

When the Post Batch window is displayed, brief details of the selected Movements are displayed.

Selecting a line displays further information about it at the bottom of the list window. Double clicking a line changes it’s posting flag from NO to YES, or vice versa, so it will be updated to the Stock Record.

The Transactions listed can be sorted.

You can toggle the lines by using the buttons.

When you have selected all the Movement lines that you want to Post, click on OK.

Allocate Stock Now

If your security profile has the option Allocate Stock Now enabled, and the batch of stock movements that is being posted includes stock movements that are not flagged as 'Adjust Landed Cost Values', an additional window is displayed once the batch of movements has finished posting. On this window you have the option to Allocate Stock Now.

If you select the option to Allocate Stock Now you are taken to the Stock Allocations screen.

The Stock Code & Sub-analysis searches are disabled.

When you select the Display button, the stock allocations screen is populated with the sales order/works order detail lines that relate to those stock items moved in (similar to when stock is received via Purchase Orders).
