Stock Facets
The Stock Facets window allows you to:
Define each of your Stock Facets and the Values applicable to each facet,
Create Product Groups and define which Facets are applicable to each group,
Assign a Facet to multiple Stock Records. For an overview of this feature, see How to… use Stock Facets.
Note: for bulk assign facets, you first need to create your facets; then navigate to Stock Utilities.
For example:
- You sell furniture and have decided that the facets applicable to seating are Manufacturer, Fabric, and Colour; the facets applicable to tables are Manufacturer and Finish: you create these four Facets and define the values applicable to each Facet.
- You then create a Product Group called Seating and specify that Manufacturer, Fabric, and Colour are the applicable Facets.
- You create a second Product Group called Tables and specify that Manufacturer and Finish are the applicable Facets.
- Next, you would create a Stock Record flagged to be a Facet Template item.
