The Custom tab can hold up to 8 user definable fields at a time. You can actually save 15 user definable fields and all 15 fields are available to 3rd party reporting software such as Crystal Reports Professional.

These fields are also available on the Custom tab cards in a transaction Enquiry window, when Supplementary Information has been selected.

These fields cannot be edited unless you are in Insert or Edit mode.

To display alternative fields, click on the Customise Custom Tab function icon and select the fields you want to display.

The value of the fields that you have removed from the tab will still be held, they will just not be visible.

The field will be given default names which can be customised for each record using the Description/Language function.

Please note:
User Char 1 to User Char 6 do not update fields in the secondary tables which share the same name. This may cause confusion if you try to extract this information from the database for a report.
User Char 3 to User Char 6 update User Char 5 to User Char 8 in the tables.
User Char 3 to 4 in the tables are left free.···
