Multiple Due Dates

Multiple Due Dates

Sales and Purchase Contras enable you to generate Multiple Due Dates against a transaction. For example, a customer purchases an item and wishes to pay an up-front amount and the remainder in instalments.

Transactions are entered as normal.

The following transactions are affected by the Multiple Due Dates feature:

  • Sales Ledger Invoices and Credit Notes

  • Purchase Ledger Invoices and Credit Notes

  • Sales Order and Credit Notes

  • Purchase Orders and Credit Notes

  • PIR Invoice Details

Multiple Due Dates Setup

Tip: The instructions below describe the process for the Sales Ledger; however, the same process is used to set up Multiple Due Dates in the Purchase Ledger

  • Navigate to System > [Settings] Options > Sales Ledger Options.

  • On the Due Dates tab, select the checkbox Use multiple Sales Ledger 'Due Dates'.

  • If required, select the checkbox Dates relative to 'Tax Point Date' in Sales Orders.

Caution! If you leave these checkboxes unticked, the Due Dates are relative to the Order Date. If you tick the checkboxes, the Due Dates are relative to the Invoice (Tax Point) Date.

  • Enter the number of Days (or select Weeks, Months, or Use Schedule from the pull down menu) that you want to be the default.

  • Save your Settings
