This report is required when using the following third party applications to produce formal accounts:

Filing of your accounts for Corporation Tax, or Companies House purposes, is normally a task undertaken by your accountant/auditor. This work will now include the submission of your Final Accounts electronically in either XBRL or iXBRL format. Your accountant/auditor will have their own specialised tools and software. In order to assist your accountant, Access Dimensions can export your accounts data in a wide range of standard formats to save re-keying this data. In addition to the industry standard file formats such as Excel, Access Dimensions also provide some specific export formats to work with the most popular accountants practice software.
For those larger companies that produce their full accounts and tax computations in-house then there are two further options to consider :
Converting your final accounts from Word or Excel into iXBRL. There are tools emerging that allow companies to convert accounts (including notes,) from MS Word or Excel format into iXBRL. An example vendor is CoreFiling (www.corefiling.com/products/seahorse.html)
Outsourcing your accounts data to be converted into iXBRL. If you do produce the full statutory accounts pack within your own business you can ”outsource” the work of inserting iXBRL tags and converting the reports, to an external company. There are a number of companies emerging to take on this specialised consultancy work, an example being Datatracks (www.datatracks.co.uk)
