Buying Group Members
Dimensions Only - This feature is not available in Dimensions Lite
Buying Group indicates that this Customer is an Invoice point for other Customers in a Buying Group. To enable this, you must first select the Buying Group checkbox found on the Info. window and give the Buying Group a unique alphanumeric name.
Members
Selecting this function before it is enabled in the Info. window, gives a warning that this Customer is not a Buying Group or part of one.
Once enabled, this is a list window comprising a toolbar, a list pane, and a field for making other Customers members of this group.
A Customer can be flagged as a Buying Group and also belong to other Buying Groups
The Buying Group functionality exists alongside Trading Groups, which means that a Customer can belong to both Buying Groups and a Trading Group.
Consolidation of Invoices applies only to Trading Groups
Toolbar
Print - This opens the standard print dialog allowing you to output your list. See the Print Setup topic for more information.
View Groups - Here you can see the other Groups to which this Customer belongs.
Edit - Select to enable the Code lookup at the foot of the form.
Delete - Select to remove the Group highlighted in the list.
Save - This is the standard Save function, allowing you to retain your edits.
Cancel - This abandons any unsaved edits.
List pane
This is a list of Customers who belong to the selected Buying Group. You are able to add members by selecting the Edit function then finding the required Code by using the lookup icon; alternatively, you can remove members by selecting the Delete function.
Footer
Code - When in Edit mode, this allows you to look up other Customers who belong to this Group.
