The cost price is selected based on the Profit Cost method as defined in the system Stock Options.
The Profit Cost methods of Latest and Standard use the values from the applicable stock records.
The Profit Cost methods of Average, Weighted, Landed Cost, FIFO and Fix Weighted use cost values determined from the stock movements.

The Profit Cost method is closely linked to the chosen Stock Valuation method.
Important: The Method of Valuation selected by a company is part of its internal accounting policy. Any change in accounting policy, such as the Method of Valuation, should be discussed with your auditors prior to making the change.
