This error means the Nominal Ledger period end did not complete because Dimensions was forcibly closed. The period end has only partially run, leaving the database locked in a state that prevents transaction posting. You must restore the Dimensions database to a backup taken before the period end started. Contact the person responsible for your SQL server — they can carry out the restore. Once restored, you can re-run the period end.
