Delete currencies in Rate Maintenance

From the Rate Maintenance window, it is not possible to delete rates if they have been used or are the last rate for that currency.

However, it is possible to delete the trading currency itself and all its rates from the trading currency window, only if it is not still being used on any transactions, prices, customers or suppliers in the database.

Dimensions should block you from deleting them if they are still in use, as deleting it would make these transactions and accounts that use them broken and stop them from showing or working in some windows and reports.

Deleting a trading currency will also delete all analysis records and nominal records belonging to it, so these must also not be on transactions.

It is not advisable to purge out old transactions, as this will prevent any account balances from being repaired correctly in the future and will prevent reports from showing them.
