Remove filters and default filters from the Advanced Filter panel

A guide to removing default and applied filters from the Advanced Filter panel across enquiry and record list screens, including how to display both batched and posted transactions.

Updated over a week ago

There are some default filters already added to some of the enquiries or record lists and you can see this as there will be a number indicator on the Advanced Filter funnel icon on the enquiry screens.

For example, when you open the Sales or Purchase Transactions Enquiry, on the Advanced Filter panel, the Batched field defaults to No which means that the enquiry is only showing you posted transactions and no batched transactions.

You can see all your sales or purchase transactions regardless of whether they are batched or posted by selecting the All option from the drop-down list on the Batched field.

While we reference the Sales and Purchase Transactions Enquiry in our example, the process of removing default filters remains consistent regardless of the specific enquiry or record list you're accessing or the module it belongs to.

You can access the Advanced Filter panel from all of our enquiries and record lists and for consistency purposes, they all behave the same way.

Remove the existing filters

  1. Open the enquiry screen you wish to work with.

  2. To open the Advanced Filter panel, click on the funnel icon at the top right-hand side of the enquiry screen.

    • Note: There will be a number in the orange circle to indicate the number of default filters already applied to the enquiry screen.

  3. Scroll down and click Clear All.

  4. The enquiry list is refreshed, and you can add in your new search criteria.

  5. To refresh the Enquiry list with your filter, click Apply at the bottom of the Advanced Filter panel.

Remove the existing default filter for showing only posted transactions

  1. Click on the funnel icon at the top right-hand side of the enquiry screen.

  2. Scroll down and click on drop-down on the Batched field.

  3. Select All from the three available options and click Apply at the bottom of the Advanced Filter panel.
