Budget Details window
On Purchase Orders, the Budget Details function, found on both the Header window and on the Detail window, displays Budget information.
The Budget Details function is also available in the Create Purchase Orders window which is part of the Consolidate Requests wizard.
If you are using Purchase Control Budgets, you can click on this function to check the current budget situation for the User who is entering the order. Once you have moved to the detail entry window and an Analysis code has been selected, the Budget Details function will show the User Budget details and the Nominal Budget details.
If you are using User Budgets only, only these will be shown; the lower half of the window shown below will not be displayed.
If you are using both User and Nominal Budgets, the Nominal Budget situation for each Nominal Account referred to by the Analysis Codes used for each line will be shown in addition to the User Budget details.
From the Purchase Orders window, the Budgets will be for the current order.
From the Create Purchase Orders window (from Consolidate Requests):
the Order Value in the User Budget Details section will be the total value of all the lines flagged YES for processing
the line number shown in the Nominal Budget Details section will refer to the Header lines shown on the Create Purchase Orders window.
The Budget Details cannot be changed, but this information enables you to see whether the order (or orders if using Consolidate Requests) is in danger of exceeding the budget.
