Whole Order Discounts
This discounting method is calculated in the same way as Line Discount but the discount is shown by adding an additional text line to the order.
There are two qualification schemes:
Order Value - The order value of the products from the price list has to meet or exceed the qualifying value entered.
Order Quantity - The order quantity of the products from the price list has to meet or exceed the qualifying quantity entered.
There are two discount methods:
Discount £ - You will enter the value that the order will be discounted by.
Discount % - You will enter the percentage discount that will be applied to the order value of the products that qualify for the discount.
As the Whole Order Discount will be applied as an extra detail line on the order, you will need to create a Price Record to post the line.
How the discount is displayed in the order
The discount is shown by adding an additional text line to the order.
The text from the Price Record will be printed on the order confirmation and the invoice.
Price Records
When creating a Whole Order Discount type price list, a Price record is required to hold the Sales and Purchase Analysis code that will be used to post the discount to the Nominal Ledger accounts.
This is because the Whole Order Discount will be applied as an extra detail line on the order. This will be a text line and the Nominal Codes from the Analysis held on the Price Record will be used to post the line.
The text from the Price Record will be printed on the order.
