Corrections on Transactions
To change information of a transaction.
Corrections - Transaction
Caution! To edit a transaction, you must select Correct from the Transaction's right-click menu. If you select Correct from the task ribbon, it will open the Corrections on Records window.
Note: If Corrections is used to edit a Sales or Purchase Ledger transaction that originated from SOP or POP, only the invoice will be updated – not the original order.
Note: some fields might not be editable due to the type or status of the transaction.
First go to the transaction line (e.g. Debtors > Customers > Transactions) in the normal way,
Next, right-click and choose Correct,
Select either the Header tab or the Detail Lines tab, depending on what needs to be amended.
Header tab
To change the details of the transaction click Edit, this will make the fields editable.
When you have made the changes click OK to save them. If you wish to disregard the changes you have made at any point click Cancel.
From this window you also have the options:
Duplicate Transaction - click to open a transaction adjustment dialog where you are able to enter the details for the new transaction.
Delete Transaction - you are prompted to confirm the removal.
Reverse as Negative Transaction - click to open a transaction adjustment dialog where you are able to enter the details for the new transaction.
Reverse as Opposite Transaction - click to open a transaction adjustment dialog where you are able to enter the details for the new transaction.
Detail Lines tab
Click the Detail Lines tab, select the line to edit and then click Edit. This opens a Edit Transaction Detail window where required changes can be made.
When you have made the changes, click OK to save them. If you wish to disregard the changes you have made at any point click Cancel.
Viewing the Corrections Transaction Changes
Navigate to Home » [Enquiry] Corrections » Transaction Changes
You can choose to filter by module and by type of correction (transaction update, duplicate, delete, reverse) and to search for changes made on a specific date or date range and/or by a specific user. When you have selected all relevant filters and entered any search criteria, click Display to view the Corrections changes.
This Enquiry groups the changes by transaction. So, if you have made multiple changes to a transaction then you can expand the header to view each change that has been made. Details displayed include date/time of change, who made the change, the original value and the new value.
