Error - 'You have lost connection to your network/database.'

Updated this week

If this is happening to more than one person then it is more likely to be SQL Server related (either SQL Server setting or network card on that machine).

This could be an SQL Server setting (by default SQL Servers disconnect inactive connections after 10 minutes of inactivity). Contact your SQL Server administrator to check SQL Server settings.

Another possible cause is if backups are running on the SQL Server during the day and in turn these backups cause the database to go offline briefly which can cause the connection to the database from Dimensions to be lost. This would need checking by your SQL Server administrator to see if this is happening at all.

If one or just a few machines, then we would recommend to raise with your IT to investigate as could also be network related or faulty network card/cables which they will be able to fault find/diagnose.
