There are several reasons why a query may take too long to complete and produce this error. If the option is open to you, try providing criteria to restrict the records returned . If that does not work, or is not possible, then consider the steps below.

In the first instance consider limiting the number of transactions returned by the query. To do this:
Click Debtors, Creditors or Financials as appropriate
Click Customers, Suppliers or Accounts/Chart of Accounts as appropriate
Click Transactions
Click the Options button on the toolbar
Enter a smaller number for the Maximum List Size
Click OK
If necessary, use the green Previous and Next toolbar buttons to page through the results
The performance could be constrained by either storage space and/or memory - this should be discussed with your Customer Success Manager or Account Manager.
