All our Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance, and Not For Profit Summary enquiries share the same screens and the same functionality for consistency purposes.
For more information on the layout and the functionality of the screen please refer to The Profit and Loss Summary Enquiry screen article.
Using the all periods summary, you can view the figures for the whole year and compare the company's actual performance to the projected or forecasted and budgeted performance.
You can search on all the categories, the Major Headings, budget revisions and attributes if you are using them. You can choose to search on a Year and a Period.
The NFP Summary all periods enquiry always shows 13 periods even when your setup is for 12 periods. This is to accommodate where you have a 12 periods set up for the current year and 13 periods for next year or vice versa. This also allows you to view any adjustments that have been posted into period 13 where you have a 12 periods set up.
Your transactions are grouped by the major headings that build up your profit and loss nominal accounts. These major headings are major heading 1 to major heading 6.
Any future periods from the default filter applied when you visit the enquiry are marked as red for visibility purposes. As default, the Year and the Period on the Advanced Filter panel will default to the current year and the current working or open period in your database and you can remove any default filters and add in your own.
