Edit customer accounts with an AOI template

You can create an update template in Excel to amend customer account details in bulk. Follow the steps below.

  1. Within Excel, click the **ACCESS** tab.

  2. In the Excel Templates section, click Templates.

  3. Click **Setup Update Template**.

  4. Select **New Template** and click **Next**.

  5. Open the **Sales Ledger** drop-down and select **Customer Accounts**.

  6. Click **Next**.

  7. Drag **Customer Code** into the **Column Fields** box.

  8. Select **Customer Code** and click **Set Range**.

  9. Choose the column range for **Customer Code**.

  10. Click the box to the right of the pop-up.

  11. Add your chosen fields from the left hand side to Column Fields.

  12. Click **Next** then click **Next** again.

  13. Select the **Enable changes to be written back to Access accounts** checkbox.

  14. Click Insert. Any of the information highlighted blue is editable.

  • Email Address.

  • On stop customers.

  • Active/Inactive customers (Hide from list).

  • Customer name.

  • Invoice/Credit note/Statement/Order confirmation document destinations.

  • Town.

  • County.

  • Postcode and Mobile.
